2023 Seed to Table Fall Harvest Dinner

Join us in celebrating 10 Years of Seed to Table! Join us in reflecting on the past decade’s bounty and community efforts surrounding fresh food and farm-based education with a farm to table meal served by Chris and Emma Leyden of FEAST Food Co. The meal will feature veggies grown right at Seed to Table farm along with grass-fed lamb. Served in the beautiful pasture at the center of Seed to Table farm, you will be seated at a long table to enjoy a family-style served meal.

The meal will feature three courses. A plated salad, family-style main course, and a plated dessert. The family-style main course will be served in a way to accommodate GF/DF/Vegan/Vegetarian diets. Protein options of mushrooms will be available for vegetarian options. Due to the size of the event with family-style meals, we cannot accommodate specific dietary requests at this time. Your ticket includes two beverages - we will have red wine, white wine, beer, cider, and kombucha. After the two included in your ticket, you may purchase additional drinks. Please no outside alcohol. Kids welcome!

Farm tours will start at 4:45 pm and will allow you to explore the bountiful farm that feeds hundreds each week through local food pantries, school lunches, farmers markets, and our produce share.

Parking is very limited at Seed to Table Farm. Please carpool if possible. Parking at Sisters Elementary School and walking to the farm is also an option, following the same trail students take on their way to the farm! Close parking for those who need assistance and closer access is available. Please just let us know so we can be sure to reserve you a parking and seating place.

Served amongst the beautiful fields of Seed to Table Farm, you will be seated at a long table to enjoy the family-style served meal.

The meal will feature three courses. A plated salad, family-style main course, and a plated dessert. The family-style main course will be served in a way to accommodate GF/DF/Vegan/Vegetarian diets. Protein options of mushrooms will be available for vegetarian options. We will be having a raffle for a two-night stay at FivePine Lodge, a two-night stay at Lake Creek Lodge, and also a 2023 Seed to Table Produce Share!

Closing Dinner, Music and Conversations with Seed to Table Team!

Make an evening at home while watching the closing bids come in and celebrate the success of the season! Join the Seed to Table team with our recommended glass of wine, cook up one of our favorite winter Seed to Table recipes, enjoy a tiny virtual concert (by some special farm guests) and get to ask questions and listen to some of our greatest challenges and successes of the year!

The evening begins at 6:30 pm. An hour and a half before the bidding ends at 8 pm.

Zoom in with your best farm to table cooked recipe and our recommended bottle of wine.

6:35- 7 pm get to listen to the greatest stories from this trying and successful year!

7 pm- 7:15 pm: Take a break to check in on those bids with some background music

7:15 pm - 7:30 pm: Special musical farm guests combine music and farming!

7:30 pm- 7: 50 pm: More questions and answers with the Seed to Table team.

7: 50 pm- 8 pm: Watch those final bids, listen to some lovely music, and get in your final offers!

8 pm: Winners announced and thank yous!

Seed to Table farmer’s Audrey and Madeline are back after the great success from our Growing Resilience class! During this free 45 minutes class, we will share with you our resources, tips, and tricks to start our gardening season off with a running start as early as possible! Learn how to make a home seed germination chamber (this is the secret ;), sift through our favorite seed catalogs, discover tools to draw out and plan out your garden, think about new varieties, layouts, and crop rotation!

  • We suggest coming at the following times to promote distancing and to avoid wait time:
    Last name A-J 9:30 am -10 am
    K-R 10 am-10:30 am
    S-Z 10:30 am-11 am
    (If the suggested time doesn’t work for you, feel free to come anytime between 9:30-11.)

 

  • Enter the east driveway of the high school and continue to the greenhouse behind by the wood shop. 

 

  • If other cars are present, simply pull in behind them. Please remain in your car.

 

  • When you’re at the front, tell us your name, and we will gather your order and bring it out to you. You can even stay in your car! 

 

  • Head home and enjoy the garden season.

SUGGESTED DONATION OF $100 (click here) for the four-class series. All proceeds from the class go to support our COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund for families in Sisters.

Join Seed to Table Executive Director Audrey Tehan for a four-part, online class series to discover tips and tricks to transform your high desert garden into a food oasis. Seed to Table Farm grows over 30,000 pounds of produce on 1.5 acres each year! During these times, gardening and growing our own food can be an incredible form of resilience. Growing food in Central Oregon is possible, although there is a steep learning curve that our staff wants to help you navigate with ease!

How will a gardening class happen online?

Before the class, you will receive a link to join our classroom via “Zoom.” You can choose to have your camera on, off or just participate via chat. Our Seed to Table staff will be online answering questions and filtering questions in the chatbox. We will try our best to include photos with a few interactive videos and learning materials.

Thursdays from 4:30 pm-6 pm starting April 30th.

Join Seed to Table Farm for one of the most delicious events of the year. Help us celebrate all of the achievements of the year through a beautiful three course meal served by Award Winning Chef, James Fink of Wild Oregon Foods: A Farm to Table Diner, located in Bend, Oregon. The meal will feature veggies grown right on Seed to Table farm along with grass fed beef from Splitting Aces Ranch. Served in the beautiful pasture at Seed to Table Farm, you will be seated at a long table to enjoy the family style served meal. Farm tours will allow you to explore the bountiful farms that feed hundreds each week through local food banks, school lunches, farmers market and our produce share. Beer purchases can be made courtesy of Three Creeks Brewery and a selection of white and red wines will be available for sale as well. Separate vegetarians options are not available, however the protein options will be served on separate platters and thus easy to serve around. The event is a celebration of Seed to Table’s education and feeding families program. As a non profit education farm, Seed to Table Farm educates nearly 1,500 students a year through science and nutrition based education. In addition the farm provides low income families with fresh produce through local banks and the school system. Please join us for this beautiful evening.

Gathering Community: Pizza, Music and Kids Farm Olympics

Join Seed to Table Farm, Wednesday from 4pm-7pm for a summer celebration of food and community! Entry is $15, pizza slices from Boone Dog pizza and potluck style plates are included. Kids of all ages can participate in our Farm Olympic activities involving taste testing, scavenger hunts and relays. BYOB and a chair or blanket if you choose to sit on the grass for listening to the music. Music begins at 5pm.

If you bring a potluck item, receive one free entry ticket! Seed to Table would love to see what great meals you can cook up (especially with those farm fresh ingredients from a produce share or from the Sisters Farmers Market) .
