At Sisters High School, students step out of their classrooms and into a unique environment for Sustainable Agriculture classes.
In the high school's own greenhouse, they immerse themselves in the hands-on experience of growing food, imbued with the fragrance of rich soil as sunlight coaxes their seeds into sprouting. The Sustainable Agriculture program is offered through a partnership with nonprofit Seed to Table. As folks around town have been discussing, SHS doesn't currently offer a full-fledged vocational agriculture Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.
